We are very excited to host a special event in the Nelson Elementary Gym on Wednesday, November 13th, 3:15-5:00. Meet the Artist is an opportunity to engage with Austin Aan’yas Harry, a Coast Salish Artist based in Vancouver BC, Canada. He is of the Wolf Clan from the Squamish Nation and Thunderbird Clan from the Namgis Nation. Austin will be creating Nelson Elementary’s new school logo. This logo will move our school forward into recognizing and acknowledging the importance of our Indigenous Lands and move us forward into Reconciliation.
